Background & My Journey into Teaching
Hailing from small-town, Ontario, Canada, my passion for education took root upon my graduation from Saint Mary's University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. This passion deepened during an eye-opening 12,000km solo motorcycle odyssey across the vast terrains of Australia. My formal journey into the world of teaching commenced in Vietnam, where I achieved a 120-hour TEFL Certificate through a program endorsed by Fort Hays State University. This educational venture paved the way for my tenure at the Center for Foreign Affairs under the aegis of the Vietnam State Department in Ho Chi Minh City. Beyond my teaching accolades, I've had the privilege of writing for Vietnam's premier newspaper, Tuoi Tre. I'm also proud to have initiated a non-profit organization, Audium, which remains instrumental in providing innumerable disadvantaged Vietnamese youth with access to essential teaching resources and services. Additionally, having cultivated culinary skills in diverse kitchens from North America to Southeast Asia since my teenage years, I assure a unique depth and flair to every lesson I undertake.

From Australia to Vietnam, and from Mexico to Germany, my travels have not only broadened my horizons but have also significantly enriched my teaching approach. This global perspective serves as the foundation for my award-winning teaching method, which has garnered recognition and accolades. In 2022, while working as a tutor at GoStudent Canada, I was honored with the prestigious Tutor of the Year Award. This esteemed award was bestowed upon me by my peers, clients, and the company's administration, making me the top choice among a nationwide team of over 450 tutors.
